Registration

  • The registration for this conference is free but mandatory.
    • Participants are kindly invited to register here
  • Keeping with the usual tradition of the QM-conference, during the registration you will be asked if you wish to give a talk, and if so you will be requested to provide a short title and an abstract. Note that the registration form can be revisited at any time 2 weeks prior to the event so these can be updated if needed. If you wish to give a talk, please make sure that you submit your title and abstract before September 21.
  • Two weeks prior to the conference, an ad hoc scientific committee which includes the organizer, will take care of allocating the various talk requests with the available time slots. Note that a certain number of time slots will be reserved for participants based in Eastern Canada and in New England. Since there is only a limited number of 20 minute time slots, please accept our apologies if your request is denied.

    • Practical information


    • Conference location. The whole conference will take place in person on the second floor of the Pavillon Alexandre-Vachon at Université Laval. See the Google map .
    • Conference schedule. All lectures will be given between 9:00 and 17:30 on Saturday and between 8:30 and 13:00 on Sunday.
    • Hotel accommodation. The closest hotel is Hotel Universel , approximately a 12-minute walk from the Mathematics Department. We have reserved a block of rooms at the rate of 165 CAD (+taxes) per night. In order to take advantage of this rate, you will need to make your reservation by phone (1-800-463-4495), quoting the group number 736825, by September 18.
    • University residences for students and postdoctoral fellows. Undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows will have the option of staying at the university residences for two nights (Friday and Saturday), either in a standard room (single occupancy) or in a shared superior room (double occupancy). We have reserved a block of rooms, and the accommodation costs will be paid directly by the conference. During online registration, you will be asked whether you wish to stay at the university residences. Participants who select this option will receive an email later in September asking for their room preference. More information about the rooms is available here .
    • Entry into Canada. Attendees who are not Canadian residents should check Canada's current entry requirements well in advance of their travel. Depending on their citizenship and travel documents, visitors may need a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Information on entry requirements and a tool for determining whether a visa or eTA is required are available on the Government of Canada website .
    • Getting to Québec City and Université Laval. For practical information on travelling to Québec City and getting to Université Laval, including transportation from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport to the campus, see Université Laval's Getting to campus page.
    • Parking near the Mathematics Department. For participants travelling by car, please note that parking at Université Laval is now paid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From Monday to Friday (until 15:59 on Friday), the pay-by-the-minute rate is 3.50 CAD per hour, up to a maximum of 18 CAD per 24 hours. A weekday daily permit is also available for 11 CAD in Regular (R) and Economy (E) parking areas. The weekend rate applies from Friday at 16:00 until Sunday at 23:59 and is 1.55 CAD per hour, up to a maximum of 6.20 CAD per 24 hours. Payment can be made using the Copilote+ mobile application or at one of the payment terminals on campus.
